be a tank if you are gonna be a DK.
that way your queues on random dungeons will be instant like all the times.
queue for DPS DK are way too long, sometimes able to wait up to 20-30 minutes before a queue even pop.

whatever happens, dont put yourself as a tank when you are truly DPS just get more queues like many people do, that only gives you a bad reputation and will end up as you getting kicked out of your heroics at 80.

basically i could get from 55 to 60 in matter of hours.
55-58 2 hours, yeah its that long.
    58-60 in 1 hour.
then from 60-70 its going quite fast. my friend actually plays a lot and in one day can get up to about 4 levels per day. considering he takes about 8 hours of play, that means about 1 level per 2 hours, maybe less if all goes well. questing is till and will probably be the best way to level. but for it to be any real good, you need to be knowing everything and make yourself travel routes from quest to quest. leveling in dungeons helps a lot. gives a lot of XPs as well.

mix both and you have yourself a great leveling experience.

    From 60 to 80? A long way for 4 days. :3
I would quest if I were you. I would choose the following areas:
    Hellfire Peninsula (Should be 60-63.) -> Zangarmarsh (Should be 63-65) -> Terrokar Forrest (Should be 65 - 67) -> Nagrand (67-68)

Then you can travel to Northrend. There I would start with the Borean Tundra or the Howling Fjord, this should bring you from 68-71. Then you can make the other area - The quests will go very fast because your level is higher than recommened, but you will get much XP. After this you should be Level 73. Than you can travel to the dragonblight, where you can get 75. After this, you will level good at the grizzly hills, from 75-76 (Or maybe 77). Then you can easily go to Zul'Drak for getting 79 and than.. you can choose between the sholazar basin, the Storm Peaks or Icecrown.

All this information are based on my experience with leveling - I level very fast with this way.

I give you on advise: Use the Addon Carbonite. It's very, very helpful for questing. I won't tell too much about this, look at the homepage. It's really an awesome addon for leveling.

Carbonite also provides some of the best pvp features around. The minimap alone shows the whole battleground and all the people in your raid on it and whether they are in combat. You can always find the zerg, see which nodes need to be supported, etc. In WSG, the names of the flag carriers appear next to the flag symbols at the top of the screen, so you don't have to scroll through chat to see who has the flag. That's especially useful for a hunter using hunter tracking to try and find the EFC. Also, if you hover your mouse over your allies in the minimap, it will tell you who they are in combat with, so you can find the efc that way even without hunter tracking. Finally, there is a punks list that pops up the names of your nearby enemies, and you can target your enemies by clicking on their names, even if you can't see them, or tab through a screen of enemies. It's great, for example, for targeting the EFC through a screen in WSG.

I hear a lot of people saying that they can level any class from 60-80 faster in BGs now, especially alliance doing AV. And as a bonus, you have enough honor when you hit 80 to buy all your starter pvp gear. I'm giving it a try. I got a level one morning doing it. But sometimes it doesn't pop or your side is undermanned, and then it's time to do something else. Only problemm is you don't get much gear that way. Supplementing with randoms, especially at the lower end of the bracket, seems wise.

    Run the carbonite addon

    spec for dps

que for randoms and bgs between your quests.

Also, invest in consumables. bandaids, oils, health potions, ask those passing by for buffs. All that stuff will make your life loads easier.

    After that its just persistance.
