You sure the rep spillsover to UC rep aswell? Thottbot suggests it doesn't?Originally Posted by Heró
Hero, I have a quick question. I am planning on making a 39 twink (not sure what class/race yet) and am considering going after this. I am going to be horde, in the new Twink Info guild, and I know your guide isn't meant for horde but I'm sure you could still offer some advice.
Say I am level 1, go explore all of the areas (possibly more for lolexplorer title), and then I am level 10-16. Should I return to the begining zones (Tirisfal, Mulgore..blah blah) and do all of those just to get them out of the way? Or just head to like the Barrens, then when I am at say level 35 go back and do all the grey quests? Also, I believe in one of the latest patches grey quests DO reward XP (it might've been a bug) it is a very small amount, but xp none the less.
And any suggestions off the top of your head about race for horde? Going by what you were saying, I imagine the difficulty would be something like UC->org->TB->Darkspear->Silvermoon, and because of that would making a troll, tauren or bloodelf make it easier? ^^
Thanks!
it doesnt make a huge difference, when its grey its generally safe to do
I'm unsure about the race, but that sounds right.
onto the issue of chen's. While i was doing ambassador I saw multiple sites be wrong plenty of times. their information gathering addons seem to screw up alot with the spillover system
I think the best thing is going to be if somebody can just confirm the situation by doing the quest

Thanks Hero, and yeah while im running around on my DK in the barrens one of these days ill see if i can complete it, no promises though >< whenever i DON'T WANT IT - it always shows up, so im sure if i am after it, it'll be no where to be seen
Just completed Ambassador on my 49 draenei shammy Burzmali. I know it's not as much of an "achievement" for a 49, but I have only seen 1 other with it so w/e. I have also attempted to complete this on my 39 human rogue and 49 gnome warrior. Unfortunately, my 49 warrior was already halfway through 49 when I even started so I dropped it after I got SW exalted (only wanted the horse since this was before the title). My rogue got exalted with Darn, IF, and SW and then I said forget it. I was mainly after different mounts, not so much the achievement.
I was wanting to write a guide about this, but got lazy so I'll just try to contribute to your guide. A couple things that you may want to add (from an alliance perspective mainly, but some pertain to horde):
(1) All grey quests will reward XP, even the very first quest you can get in any starter area. It's generally very low (20-200xp) gains all the way through the low 30s quests. But it is something to remember. This is part of the reason my warrior stopped since I realized I could ding just from lowbie quests if I kept at it. I gained more than a whole level on my shammy doing grey quests in my 40s.
(2) Get the Lightheaded addon. It shows all reputation gains with each faction you will get for quest turn-ins. You can even look through quest chains just by picking up the first quest to see if it's worth doing the chain. It pulls info from Wowhead (including all comments for each quest), so not everything is 100% accurate, but much easier than looking it up yourself.
(3) Use Blizzard's built-in "Low Level Quest" tracking. Makes it much easier when questing in lower areas to make sure you pick up anything available, including those random quest givers scattered around zones. This is a god-send since on my warrior I was having to interact with so many worthless npcs to see if they offered low level quests before they introduced the tracking.
(4) Do ALL dungeon quests that reward faction rep. These generally provide the large chunks or rep gain (300-500 rep per).
(5) If doing this from the start, only do quests that reward some kind of alliance rep. Skip those goblin city rep quests. You can "generally" ignore STV (if doing this for twinks 39+) although some alliance chains lead there. Also ignore Thousand Needles as alliance. Even though there are lots of gnomes there and some quests, they do not award Gnomer rep.
(6) Quests from starter zones will "generally" not reward spillover.
(7) I found no rationale for doing one faction ahead of the other. I didn't find that maxing out one faction earlier will increase rep for other factions later down the line.
(8) lastly, Wowhead and Thottbot are frequently wrong about things like rep and xp gains on quests. Blizzard has changed those values during several major patches so it is likely that the sites' addons cannot accurately keep track of this info. So, yes, 2 sites can be wrong.
I'm sure I'll remember some other tid-bits later, but for now, I think those are some helpful things for anyone trying for this achievement.
As for the douchebag complaining about the guide, this is still a pain in the ass if you don't like grinding endless quests. Besides, after 3.2, the xp cap will trivialize most twink titles, just like Explorer was from the netlimiter. Not saying they are worthless titles/achievements, just that the accomplishment is a little tainted.
TL;DR: For those that looked above and and it was too long for you to read, then you don't have the patience to get the title anyways.
a little off topic, but draws on the same info:
I want to get a kodo for 29's, when xp gets turned off in 3.2 i imagine it'll be obtainable but i have no math. Could you give me some tips for grinding out TB rep?
"Kinda" in the same boat as you Grunge, but not really (Am looking if its possible to get any reps to exalted at 29 for my new-soon-to-be gnome rogue)
Tips for TB rep: Start at mulgore, DO EVERY QUEST THERE!!!! Also do the ones in Thunderbluff (there are some low level ones that are a bit goofy, but good rep). All of The Barrens should give you nice rep for TB, splash rep for just straight reputation (Especially WC chains and such). Then you should move to Thousand Needles, there are a lot of tauren quest givers there, and a lot of long chains (Including the 2 escorts: one in darkcloud pinnacle, and the one in the wyvren camp)
Make sure you do all the instance quests, the one from BFD available at level 18 will give you TB rep, and there are a bunch of RFC quests for it too. Those are most of the base TB quests I can think of, but as mentioned above Chen's Keg can give you a bunch, and do every quest available for splash XP if you're close.
*EDIT* Just remembered some more for you Grunge, Stonetalon Mountains - lots of tauren quest givers, there are also a couple in Descolace, but I am unsure if you can accept/complete them at 29 xD
