    29 resto shaman

Hi, Im looking to start making a 29 resto shaman and i was wondering what glyphs i should. Im gona use [Glyph of Water Shield] for my minor but for my major glyph i was debating between[Glyph of Healing Wave] or [Glyph of Stoneclaw Totem]. Also i was wondering if i could get some advice and tips on how to play a shaman in 29s.
Im looking to make the shaman on a battlegroup that has active 29 twinks and with a active 29 twink guild, preferably on a pvp server. thank you in advance

Stoneclaw really helps up against melee classes (At least when I arena on my 80) But healing wave would be nice as well cause you would never really have to focus heals on you. But I would look at it this way.

A: Are you going to be pugging more then premades?
B: Are you going to be doing premades more than pugging?
C: What classes are their more of in the 29 bracket on your server?

If your going to be pugging I would recommend the Stoneclaw Glyph more survivability cause pugs normaly arn't the greatest [=

If you are gonna be doing premades more often then I would go for Healing Wave (since hopefully your team would do their job and keep them busy so you can heal :P )

And just to see what there is more of, Just when you hit 20 do a few BG's and see how the numbers look.

And i'm not sure if you know that the Barrier StoneClaw Totem puts around you only last for 15 seconds, And with stoneclaw on a 45 second CoolDown you might run into some problems.

    stoneclaw totem, in my opinion.

First...healing wave is so much less efficient at this level than lesser healing wave. Even w/ the glyph, you're looking at only a small, situational advantage to be had by healing wave. Stoneclaw, however, is hugely useful. While, it's unfortunate that it's an earth totem...it's really helpful for flag running, getting into range on hunters, and rage starving warriors.

    What Part? lol

But yea Stoneclaw is with the Earthtotem but it's main uses are just to get the pets off you + then you get the shield for 15 seconds, then pop down Earthbind > Snared for 4 seconds and then slowed by then you should be long gone [=

Well I would go with the Instant ghostwolf for sure, you could go 7 into enhancement unless you want the extra 5% crit then you need to go 0/10/10
or 0/12/8 which would then make you Enhance xD
But I think it would be best if you tried a few specs and see what fits your playstyle / group.

EDIT: Also you going Alliance or Horde? And what Race?

I don't know about arena, but absolutely no healing wave glyph for battlegrounds. You get almost the same hps and mana consumption (in proportion to healing) from the lesser healing wave, so you're better off with that one. If opponents actually allow you the time to cast a healing wave, you don't need the healing from the glyph anyway.

The stoneclaw glyph is nice. If you're feeling pretty strong, consider the frost shock glyph instead. It gives a 25% boost to the length of time you have someone slowed, which means you can shock, do a different shock after the shared global cooldown for shocks, then reapply the frost shock after the GCD, only a second or two after your original slow wears off.

As a resto, be sure to get the water shield glyph for your minor. Having to recast that 30% less frequently while under attack is a big deal for mana regen.

29 healer shamans typically choose one of two builds: 0/20/0 is the spellhance build. You get much more survivability, but you rely more on teammates to keep enemies off your back. If you plan to play like this, get a feel for how much mana you need. Others use an 0/7/13 resto build, choosing instawolf from the enhance tree and the reduced pushback from the resto tree. I avoid the healing wave talent in the first tier of the resto tree, since I don't use that spell in the 29 bracket, and put the 5 points into reduced mana costs for totems. That's not terribly useful either right now. I imagine it will mean more in 3.2 when you can drop multiple totems at once.
