You can get this ring by winning the Kalu’ak Fishing Derby. You can find an in-depth guide for it here. Additionally, you can pick a new pair of fishing boots instead of the ring if you’d want to:
Right now, even twinks can compete in this derby, because the turn-in quest doesn’t have a level requirement. Lucky for us Blizzard didn’t forget to give the boots Item Level 1 – as you can see in the picture. This means that you won’t see level 19 twinks with TBC enchants on them, thank god!

ewwwwwwwww not worth it imo… only 2 hit rating :’( maybe for rogues tht+BoA chest and Deviate belt for cap i guess… not worth it
I think its only good for the %exp gain, basicly made for alt leveling.
yea i agree. these stats dont look too appealing for any bracket unless you desperately need a bit more hit to get capped. maybe its good for lvl 10 and below since rings aren’t too common but idk too much about that. heck the stats arent even too hot at 80, clearly tailor made to further speed up leveling (which is already at an all time joke level)
IMO rogues would want this ring, but the Blizz’s changes for cata would make the PvP ring BIS (1 agi= 2 ap for rogues) . 5-crit raiting is huge though. I would be interested in a comparison b/w this ring and the current PvP ring. Thanks for the great post. Literally, I hear info from this website 1 month before most people in the general population hear about it. Thanks for keeping this site the BIS for twinkinfo (pun intended)

Along with the basilisk hide pants this is a very welcomed amount of hit. 3.3 will take me up 1% crit, and an extra 1% crit. 10 crit rating is a lot of crit off a ring – equiv to about 1.2% as i remember.

I don’t know about you guys but I would kill for this on a 19 twink rogue. 5 crit rating=god. 2 hit rating for a rogue=good. 3 stam=yay. Compare this to the wsg ring or the sfk ring and the seal of wrynn. Its stats is clearly superior.
