Greetings. I refer to myself commonly as Thirk, the “odd” twinker. I’m very active as far as twinking goes, and my specialties are Theorycrafting the odd numbers, finding new items and things of interest to twinkers. I am well known for my one and only twink, Thirk. He has been in the making ever since I decided to twink at level 1 and accidentally leveled to 2, then to 5, 10, and accidentally leveled to 11 getting Wingblade. Yesterday night, he dinged 15, after being an almost complete twink (lack of Heirloom Shoulders), even having maxed out professions. I’m an obsessive twinker, and I don’t let anything stop me. I decided to persue my odd twink further and dusted him off at 15, gave him Glyphs, Shoulders from SFK, and 3 new sets of weapons, and within an hour after dinging 15, he’s back in action in arenas, albeit with a small loss of crit (~5%), loss of dodge, (~1.5%), but a damage boost that makes me a lot less ashamed of leveling to 15 accidentally. I’m one of those people who have nothing to do in their free time, and always play World of Warcraft. There’s no use struggling to maintain a lost past, so I’m embracing my status as a 15 that will kill 19’s that are not careful. I’m currently rolling out 3 new twinks, all sub-15, to show that I’m not done because 1 twink leveled accidentally. My home is Spinebreaker, and my main is a measly 61 hunter named Bralmi. Twinking, and Thirk, are what I play World of Warcraft for.
The reason I’m making such a long, and probably boring post, is that Drayner suggested I introduce myself to the community, so here I am. I’d also like to mention to everyone that although the front page does give most of the useful information, much of the front page comes from discussions made on our forums, so please head over to the forums, and discuss all the upcoming information regarding twinking!
To wrap this up, I look forward to helping maintain this site’s information and to update it as often as I can, as I’m very active in my bracket, and very active in overall updates on twinking and such. Hope to see everyone around!

Also whats wrong with twinking other levels other than 19?
Level 10 is great for rogues & hunters, 14 rogue seems great, due to the ‘near same stats’ as a lvl 19, and a lvl 18 priest is actually better than a lvl 19 (is my case).

what is the benefit of twinking at 15….i have no probelm with ppl who do lvl 1, 10 and 14 twinks…that makes sense

By aren’t careful, I mean, anyone who isn’t a hunter is going to have a hell of a fight against me, even fully twinked 19s who can play. And I stated the benefit, it is increased damage, quite a bit. 14 is a stable level, 15 gives a chance to burst for more. And you stated 14, I’m the one who “invented” 14 twinking, just who I state that 15 is not an improvement, but gives a few more options with a crit tradeoff.

Lvl 18 > Lvl 19 Priest is better due to the mp5/whilst not casting. The gear you get at 18 is practically the same of that of a lvl 19. So you benefit abit more from the same stats.

14 is viable because 14 is top in the 10-14 arena bracket….not because of stats u retard….a 15 rogue will have much worse stats that any well geared lvl 19….its a fact

that being said…..there is no stat benefit…that priest u linked me has no more mp5 than a 19 priest…he has 2, because his ring says “2 mp5″….i dont see any extra….my priest has far more mp5 than the one u linked me

My armory is in the blog post. Being the top of the bracket doesn’t make you viable. A 15 rogue will have better stats than any 19, the only reason it’s debatable is because of damage. If you don’t know how game mechanics work then you really are an idiot.

Just a reminder that is isn’t the WoW forums, and there’s many more constructive ways to get points and ideas across. As of current this is just turning into a huge shouting match in which neither side is presenting its argument well.
Just take an armory of a 19 twink and take Thirk’s armory and post the important stats. Damage, crit, dodge, etc.
I’ve presented my argument in a clear manner, tetox is shouting. And when ctrlaltshock 2v1′d me, I was not at home, I was on a laptop using a touchpad, I cannot PvP normally like that. Have him 2v2 with me and we’ll see who wins. Your argument is invalid, 10’s are no longer viable because of the profession nerf, 15’s are still possible because they don’t get hit as hard. They hit nowhere near 3x as me. My normal crits are in the 150+ range, and at 50% of the time that’s very comparable to a 19, mixed with my increased dodge it makes me vey viable. Once again, you’ve proven nothing but your lack of knowledge of how ratings work.

not to join the “battle” here, but any particular reason you have a crusader on your weapon? im assuming you have a main hand with 15agil also?
I do have another Mainhand with 15 Agility. 2 other MH’s with 15 agility, I’m using Crusader atm for some burst damage in arenas.
Oh, and I’m also going to work on my MH some more, I’m still not sure what to use overall at 15.

wanted to ad that as my main has been a lvl 18 priest I know the rubbish people can talk about lower than lvl 19 twinks.
Try to keep the direct flames to a minimum. The staff has had to delete several comments already for derogatory phrases. And no, I wasn’t the one who deleted them.

Having faced Thirk plenty of times over the last year I know not to take him lightly. I don’t lose to him however I have seen him blow through his share of higher lvl twinks. I remind my guildmates anytime I see him in the bg’s not to underestimate him. Good on you Thirk glad to see you around these parts.
