This is a petition to Blizzard asking them to keep twinking fair and balanced and not to break twinking any more than it already is. Make sure to scroll down, take the poll, sign the petition, and if you want to comment, leave a comment.
With each patch, we have seen things introduced to the game that have changed the game within the game that we call twinking. I am sure Blizzard understands how many people actually twink at varied degrees. Myself, Twinking is all there is in World of Warcraft that I enjoy. If twinking is broken by imbalance, why continue. It would be time to move on. We have endured many changes in twinking based on new items added, item levels lowered, exploits that were not removed, and even things that Blizzard has over looked.
With the impending changes to gathering professions and the roller coaster we’ve endured on the subject, Blizzard could really kill the 19 and possibly 29 twink brackets. It’s not know what will happen, but if you read ishh’s post on the front page from yesterday, it’s clear that Blizzard is doing something to block twinks (or any other low levels) from getting max benefit from gathering profession buffs.
It’s been over 2 months and Blizzard has yet to fix the Tier 3 mining bug. That is unsatisfactory in itself. This is finally fixed on the current PTR and we should see this fix with the next patch. It’s about time. The looming issue now is whether or not they grandfather twinks that currently have gathering professions above the “proposed” cap.
We have been on a roller coaster with gathering professions since 3.02 patch. Prior to the patch, PTR and Beta users reported that the gathering professions would be capped in line with current tradeskills. For example, 19 twinks would be limited to 150 in the gathering professions. It was a surprise to many that there wasn’t already a cap. Well, twinks scrambled to get their professions to 375, well hardcore twinks did at least. The patch came and the hard cap was in place. For some reason, Blizzard lifted this cap in the very next patch. It’s been a wild ride. I was prepared for 3.02 and for the last 2 months, I have had less hit points with T6 Toughness from mining than those with 225-299 mining. What’s next on this roller coaster ride? Does Blizzard break the twink brackets?
How can Blizzard break the twink bracket?
Simple. If they implement this cap again and grandfather twinks like myself, any new twinks or twinks that didn’t have time or XP to get to 450 in any of the gathering professions will be at a serious disadvantage. Twinks like myself will be so overpowered in comparison to those without buffs.
If they nerf those that spent hours and days leveling their profession will be upset. I will be upset as well, but I would prefer this solution.
For me, a big part of the “Twink Game” is parity. With the same drive and desire, all twinks have the same opportunity to be equally geared. If we are grand fathered, that will no longer be the case. The argument that might arise out of this is the fact that some twinks were able to obtain Naxx enchants and now new twinks cannot. True, they can’t get “new” Naxx enchants, but they can get hand me downs or now they can get some mighty spiffy Bind on Account shoulders with ZG Enchants.
Plain and simple, this impending change could really break the 19 bracket for sure.
Does Blizzard Care?
I am going to repost with some edits a very informative post that one of Twinkinfo’s readers, Kelly posted in reply to “Typical Blizzard BS on Twinking…“.
Blizzard has made posts on twinking issues, class, and equipment imbalances below the 70 level before and they have also posted that there concern now is that the game is balanced at 80. Overall this is true and untrue at the same time. One could make pages worth of items they nerfed, gear they added, etc that evened out twinking.
- they care….made sure (so far) the wotlk enchants would not end up on players below 60.
- they don’t care….59 twink DK’s can get wotlk enchants on their gear.
- they care….stopped scryor and aldor enchants on lo-lvl players head and shoulders items. stopped the mail exploit, anyone caught doing it…perma ban. anyone reported for still having them will have them removed.
- they don’t care…till wotlk the head and shoulder enchants from NAXX and Zandalar which are almost as good if not better than BC ones were still being put on lo-lvl twinks. many still have these and are not removed when reported.
- they care…..they nerfed the 2 epic trinkets from the shatari sky guard quartermaster to as require level 70 to equip. yes twinks as low as 10 had those. they got them same way you get the Furblog medicine bag….as a ghost.
- they don’t care…Arena Grand Master trinket….made from a quest that requires 12 Arena Master trinkets that require a player to be a 35 to equip. you turn the 12 in and you have a trinket that is better than a lvl-58 trinket that a lvl-1 can equip.
- they care…years ago there was a loophole where lvl-40 thru 59 players could get a EPIC PVP 100% mount through the BG system and get the riding skill. they where folded with 60 whiners on GM tickets and on the forum. they put lvl-req on purchasing riding skill, use of epic mounts. yes it happened.
- they don’t care….in the 51-59 WSG and AB brackets DKs are riding on 100% mounts with another 15% aura speed boost for 115% mounted speed. closest player to them in speed is a ret-palidan with a 70% mount and their 15% bonus for 85%. overall on average most players, even with mythril spurs +4%, carrot on a stick +3% are moving at 77% unless they are within a DKs aura and get +15%. no matter tha combination small talk….DKs are overall al least 30% faster than any other class.
- they care…..Knothide type armor kits that add 8 or 10 stamina to head, shoulder, chest, gloves, bracers, legs, boots are restricted to players above 55 or items above 60 (10 stam kits) these cannot be applied to a lvl-1 players armor or sub-49 twinks.
- they don’t care….libram of voracity or constitution can be used to place 8 stam or 100hp (10 stam) to any players unsoulbound head and leg armor items. can also be done thru the trade window like a enchant. leg armor kits like the nethercleft 40 stam 12 agi one can pe put one any lvl items that aren’t soulbound yet. with one libram and one legarmor kit you gain more stamina that if they allowed the kits. can’t put a 10 stamina armor kit on your bracers if your a 29,39, 49 twink, but can get a 12 stam enchant. same with boots, can’t use a 8 or 10 stam armor kit, but can get a 7 or 12 stam enchant makes no sense?
- they care…..made sure with wotlk that leg armor kits would not get exploited by making the item soulbound to the applier of the kit.
- they don’t care….BC enchants that were supposed to be used by level 35+ players is till exploited due to the +35 items quest loopholes items. they could solve the faction whining by making the enchant only useable, by the required level.
- they care….nerfed the horde’s “windstorm hammer” when they made it blue so it would not take +35 level enchants. affetcing horde 29-lvl twink shammies, palidans, rogues, warriors etc.
- they don’t care….did not nerf “crescent of the forlon spirits” axe when they made it a blue. giving alliance 29 twinks shammies, warriors, palidans a huge advantage. they also left a horde mace and axe as a green but left the +35 item status. making only horde res-shammies.druids and priests OP in 29 bracket
In addition to Kelly’s list of Blizzard’s double standards, Blizzard has yet to address the “Bugged grey sword for the 19 bracket“. This one is way over powered and in my opinion, worse than the “Darkmoon Decks” that many twinks wasted so much XP getting just to have the reward (not the XP, just the item) removed within 12 hours. The Enti’s Quenched Sword is very overpowering for the 19 Twink Bracket right now.
Blizzard, please keep twinking fair and balanced…
There are so many issues that affect twinks that I personally believe that Blizzard should address and recognize. Yes, I understand the vast majority of players play the game as intended with their end game raiding and pvp, but Blizzard has to know how many people twink and are affected by the changes. Blue post after blue post in the forums dismiss twinks requests and complaints with the cookie cutter answer that twinks are not a “supported play style”. That doesn’t fly. It should be supported as well. We pay the same to twink as raiders pay to raid. We pay the same to twink as PVP’er pay to PVP.
With this petition, we are asking Blizzard to recognize twinks and preserve this “game within the game”.

I see the stamina buff as a good thing because it makes the battles a bit longer, and gives´you the time to do some things. But on the other hand its just wrong with hunters who who got 2500 and FC twinks with close to 3500

i was thinking about the lvl cap on gathering professions, and thought maybe if they didnt cap the profession but rather capped the buff that was given.
because i really cant see them dropping someones mining skill from 450 to 150 that would be insane. but rather if they said to have toughness rank 6 you have to be X level that would make more sense.
i still think we should do a strike… i am on strike for a year… cos i didn’t payed any subscription on my 2 accounts!!!

I trust Blizzard to fix the issues and I know it takes time. And as long as there are people that can intellectually explain the issues to them I think they will listen and help to the best of there ability. I say remove the level caps and fix how rend works with Enti, those are the issues I have. BoA items helped people who can’t get Naxx. Sure it sucks that you need a level 80 to get them. But I am sure there are ways around that, just like Naxx.

when people where asking about the status of twinks when there was rumors of XP in the BGs from honor kills on the blizz forums and alot of complaining started. blizz realized they had a problem and did a “blue post”. they basically said they do not fully understand this subculture within the game and where not going to make changes to affect it.
maybe someone can find this post and put in in here. if it hasn’t been removed form the forum.
i was in BG and got to see a 19 hunter with the heirloom shoulders with 4 stam and 14 AP you would think that was OP enough. this player also had a 30 AP enchant from zandalar faction. shoulders with 44 AP! you will need a WOTLK and a 80 to run heroics to get the badges to get the shoulders. the badge cost is very costly.
if you think this is bad you should see the NAXX lvl-60 shoulder enchants that some players stock piled before WOTLK release. the one fo healers is actually better than the BC 70 level ones. they have duel stats like scryer /aldor ones
I don’t see how Blizzard would be possibly killing the 19 and 29 bracket by removing max level profession buffs. In fact, if I recall correctly, being able to max out profession buffs was a relatively short lived thing, introduced in 3.0(?). Blizzard has said before that they will not go out of their way in either way to help, or harm twinks. “Not going out of their way” means that they will continue making changes to the game in regards to everything else, and twinks will feel the wake from these changes, for better or for worse. I also feel that the only way blizzard could effectively kill twinking would be to add forced experience to battlegrounds, or to remove them all together. Twinks will always survive, in one incarnation or another, you just have to roll with the punches and take what you get.
Blizz does go out of their way….to help or hurt twinks…when “THEY see fit.
the NAXX enchants are on par with the faction ones from scryer and aldor…depending on class, actually better.
they have left the 255 mining bug when that could have been a instant fix, and nerfing gathering would probably have been a less focused on issue
they did a near instant (within 12 days) fix on the “demon’s deck” where 19’s, 29’s, and 39’s with able to get 40 level weapons that took BC enchants. look up ‘Darkmoon Dirk” also look at the other 2. the 2h axe with savagery made the “enti’s quenching sword” look lame. the staff made mages, locks, healers into death on a stick
well in my opinion, the best option atm would be to , first of all, fix mining bug which will be done with patch, and keep the profs up with no lvl requirement. At least this will not exclude new twinks from being able to get it and the playing field will be leveled. People would be able to get it and no one would complain except for the people that are too lazy to go get them in the first place and thats definitely not a good enough reason for someone to complain about it. The hard work and effort put into lvling to 450 gathering prof is extremely insane and if someone is dedicated enough to achieve this then kudos and they should be able to get the ability to use what they worked so hard for. Twinks are mainly about going for the best possible items and using them to your advantage ( while i do detest glitches and things of that sort, at tleast they are typically only temprorary i.e. mining bug ) If someone is too close to dinging to get the gathering profs, do what i did- make a new twink and get it. Most likely the patch is not tomorrow, so you have at the least a week to attain 450 gathering profs. That should be more than enough time to get it- sounds better than just sitting on the forums QQing all day about it. And if you cant do it, you have something to do, you just think theres no way you can do it, well QQ more you’ve had over a month’s notice
. Enti’s on the other hand DEFINITELY needs to be nerfed and dont even bother trying to justify any reasons why it shouldnt be. There have been reported 450 rend ticks, that alone is close to a normal lvl 19 nontwinks full hp. On top of that 300 non crits from lvl 11 nontwinks is completely ridiculous and no respectable twink should even be fighting for this to stay in or even say that this is one bit fair. If blizz goes through with implementing these lvl req effects they’re only hurting their own wallets and we all know how much they care about that. And in respect to blizzard’s notice of twinks…you have to be living under a rock to not see how much blizz takes notice of us. Diplomat title, *cough* the three main reps that lvl 19 twinks even go for- coincidence? ok maybe , next. These gathering professions in the first place….they patched it to add a lvl req and then re patched it to remove the lvl req… hmm now why would they do that? oh and look how long it took them to fix that mining bug…yah…do you honestly believe it takes over a month to fix something that could have easily been fixed in a shorter amount of time? yah ok. what else…oh that stupid enti sword, anyone else see that screenshot from pwndepot of the guy asking the gm about it- well if you didnt, all the gm had to say was that the hidden dmg on that thing was intentional- good freaking game. so in conclusion , blizzard notices twinks, and when we create forum posts like these , they read them…and seriously, there’s bound to be at least 1 gm out of their entire list of employees that reads pwndepot, twinkinfo, and other things of the sort… they know whats going on and we just gotta live with the outcome .
As far as having blizz notice the twink world is somthing that i would find wrong the whole appeal to this sub culture is that its an underworld its outside of what the game had in mind I find it fun and exciteing to take what blizz might have over looked and use it to our advantage I mean how much fun would it be if blizz said hey twinks are a playing choice and add things twink specific or along those lines how much fun would it be then to have things set out in front of us and not do the searching and grinding to get it. i think blizz should continue on the same path they have been on.
Actually blizzard havent any PvP under control atm.
For exampel max lvl
Arena at 80 is very hard for many classes as they get zerged by brust dmg.
Every melee class got something to make it easyer to get to ranged, like (feral/warriors) charge, death grip, sprint and blessning of freedom.
All melee classes have got more of this when the lvl cap incrased.
BUT range havent got quite as much of “get away skills”.
AND 2+ melee classes actually stack up on how good they can stick to a target, really good. Range dont do as good.
I have 3 twinks (2 level 29 and 1 level 19) – not bad for a grandma, huh? The weekly time that I allot myself for WoW is 95% used on my twink characters. My favorite part of WoW is battlegrounds, and if they become unbalanced, and therefore no longer fun to play, then I would have no reason to keep my account. The highlight of my week is “twink night” with my husband and the guild.

I spend a majority of my time twinking. I think that by twinking you can create a balanced battleground. The twinks currently have the ability to get ALL of the same gear that I have on ANY of my twinks. It all boils down to skill after that.
I have been waiting for Blizzard to FULLY embrace twinking with access to arenas but with only the ability to use points to modifiy looks or status.
Wish that you could atleast buy the old military titles after X amount of points. I know we would like to spend our points on something.
to keep twinking fair….the term FAIR needs to be literally used….no exceptions, no loop holes, no grandfathering.
this means the following need nerfed and removed from players in 19-59 brackets
Naxx shoulder enchants
Zandalar head enchants
these need to be treated the same as other head/shoulder enchants from:
Argent Dawn
Cenarion Expedition
Lower City
Scryer
Aldor
any of those make the item soulbound to the person applying them. these also will make the Heirloom items soulbound and unable to send to lower players.
if Blizz doesn’t care about twinking than make all these items useable at any level…..why have loopholes and grandfather privileges?
if they really care? nerf them “ALL”, stop the whining, and everyone has a equal chance.
If they are going to remove anything they should remove the privilege not the skill. Take the abilities away and make learn them from a trainer with level and skill requirments. Make the max skill bonus spell worth it for the trouble but not what the max is now.
So a max 450 skill at 19 can have a nice bonus but not the same as a level 39.
Let us be realistic the extra things we can do with our twinks is not really beating down our door. Once every two years we get a few things that let us reroll our toon at a chance to make it better or we saved enough xp to get them done in this xpac.
The bonus I am looking at would be a heal of about 1/2 or 1/3 the life of a twink for their level bracket ( About 1000-1600 @ 39 ).

If you wanted parity, you’d be demanding that all twinks would be forced into twink only BGs, but you’ll never ask for that, you’ll just keep buying gold and camping the level 14s that want to just have a bit of fun.

Let’s understand the REAL complaint here. It is NOT new twinks people are really up in arms about. If that was really the case they would be complaining about the Naxx enchants being gone. Shadowfang (and a few other twink items) being near impossible to get. Enchants from AQ20/40 being non-existent on newer servers.
No, that is not what people are up in arms about. What they are up in arms about is there twinks with these items can’t get the gathering profs up because of dinging discovery exp. They want to keep their “balance” from the old stuff that they would have to give up to start over.
Hey, I got a suggestion. Show that twinking up your arse, and stop ruining BG for lower level players. If you want epeens, go fight 80´s not lowbees.
Or if we are getting serious, ask Blizzard to create a BG for twinks only. Thats something I would sign.

Hello Im not happy about the new mining requirement and I have no idea why it says I need to be level 40 to get above 300 mining. I think blizzard should fix it on my computer themselves because I must be seeing things as I have put so much effort and sweat into this level 29 hunter while trying to reach to level 450 Mining when it specicfically said: All Gathering Professions have no level requirements and thats what should be happening, Instead I should be able to get it to my goal of perfection but it is not letting me. Throughout my undertanding they have self compromised their own agreements by adding something that was not listed in the terms of the new patch which I read from a while ago and has altered the existance of future twinks as past twinks have the mining rank 6 toughness buff at level 450 mining kept while no one today can reach anywhere near them. That was an unfair change which negates all trusting necessity and implications Blizzard have put into their agreement and can lead to much worse problems over stupidity. I do not see the players exploits you have erased off their shoulders from the aldor/ scryers enchants or reduced the skill down to the required level for all players by researching on these other twinks! I think Blizzard should reinstate the old profession customs of the patch before 3.0.8 allowing players to reach as high as they can go due to how much gold and effort they are willing to spend, sacrifice and time which affects both the game and your own body on the line of self repetetive injury. I have tried coping with that by going to work and playing multiple times and have used enormous amounts of gold (1000g+) to have something which was not listed in the new patch ruin my gameplay, No!.. I will not tolerate and even go into more Drastic and Serious measures until they have a feel for other people in a serious manner and not secretly plotting out a way to stop twinkage without telling anyone by using them as tools to find out what Blizzard have done. Fix the bugs NOW!! not in the next patch after 3.0.8 so that people can sweat to death in summer or freeze in their houses for hours, remove any that involves exploits, glitches and imbalanced mechanics and without waiting for players to play more and wait more which is obviously well known for people to stay addicted either on purpose or showing promise… just for a simple fix I am well assure Blizzard are more than capable of correcting this manner and reinstating that gathering professions just as they have listed on their site will have NO level requirement! By creating something in the game that is not what the gameplay says is infact a BUG, Blizzard have just created THAT! (gathering professions limit). Change it back or expect less profitable outcomes and more non trusting players who could find the word sue in their dictionary due to manipulation & addiction and quit wow forever. While I no longer play retail, I do agree that the proff bug as well as any bugs/exploits that gave any single twink a huge advantage are not why I twinked. While the librams on my helm and the kits on my pants were fine as well as endgame vanilla WoW chants on my gear is fine, having a ‘once and a life time’ exploit or bug that greatly puts others at a disadvantage should not be allowed.
I love the twink community more then any other community in WoW. I was sad to leave WoW when I did, but my mains guild was so zealously focused on raiding and I needed to just get away from that. I know I could have stayed and just main played my twinks (I HATED raiding), but I also had personal issues I needed to address. Hopefully I can rekindle my love for twinking in the future.

Being a player who spends 75-80% of his time twinking, i don’t see the problem in professions. That 500hp bonus is a badge to show the dedication you have to your character. As for grandfathering, either leave it alone or remove it all together

Twinking is something that makes FUN for a lot of people, it doesnt shrink the gameplay of other people (at least not really) so isnt the GOAL for Blizzard ent. to bring FUN to people, with what makes THEM FUN ? ( FUN for players = earning 4 blizzard)
So please, you should think at least about bringing some special Twnik feature or something like that, if you dont want to “block” the normal 11-19 pvp.
Hope you understand the need of so many player
blizz need too fix twinks or there are gonna be alot of ppl pissed off and quitin wow
